Who is Victor D’Angelo?
Victor D’Angelo is the current Chief Operating Officer of villaNOVA Insurance Partners and the National Program Director for RESASURE. His duties entail running operations for all lines of business including retail Property & Casualty, MGA and programs, TPA, and Benefit Advisor divisions. He has been with villaNOVA (formerly Elite P&C) for over 10 years performing duties from sales to operations. As a licensed agent in the state of PA (and several other states), he has sold all lines of Property and Casualty Insurance for businesses and individuals Victor has many years of experience developing programs for niche markets, specifically around insurance and risk management.
In 2018, Victor led the movement to purchase Pen-Ex Insurance Brokers. Victor is the founder of the SDO-Program that has been specifically designed for RESA®, now called RESASURE. He is intimately involved in everyday workings of selling, rating, issuing policies for RESA® members and is always working to make the program better for its members. Victor had the lead role in creating the coverages and ancillary products (such as contracts) for RESA® members and is well-versed on how the policy works for home stagers and interior designers. Victor leads various educational seminars, both virtual and in-person, speaking to small business owners on the importance of contracts and insurance to keep your business protected.
Victor D’Angelo is a Graduate of Temple University, graduating Magna Cum Laude. Victor has a Master’s degree in Leadership from Arcadia University in Glenside, PA, where he graduated with distinguished honors. Victor is the member of the Golden Key National Honor’s society for performance in academics. Victor lives outside of Philadelphia with his wife and is a proud father of three great kids.
Who is Joe Denneler?
As a former member of a private professional liability & malpractice defense group, Joe defended home inspectors, termite inspectors, title agents, real estate appraisers, real estate brokers, lawyers, accountants, insurance brokers and various other businesses in litigation matters. Joe has significant experience defending commercial fleet operators and drivers of tractor-trailer combinations, buses, taxis, and limousines. In addition, Joe has extensive experience in insurance coverage disputes and casualty fire claims. Joe is an experienced trial attorney who has successfully defended several cases to verdict and has argued many appeals in Pennsylvania and New Jersey.
Joe, through his years of litigation and claims experience, has developed risk management strategies that work for any business model. Joe’s expertise in analyzing businesses to identify weaknesses and potential pitfalls has made him highly regarded educator and public speaker.
Joe has created all the legal documents for the RESASURE program and is an expert at risk management for the small business owners- specifically home stagers and interior designers. Joe leads all the Pre-Claims Assistance for the RESASURE program and is the Head of Claims for any claim going into the captive insurance carrier we have built specifically for the home stager. Joe speaks all over the country on the importance of using Service Contracts and Subcontractor Agreements (when bringing other people on to the job) to not only insulate your insurance, but to keep your business protected.
Who is LEAH CHECK?
Leah Check is the National Sales Lead for the RESASURE program through Pen-Ex powered by villaNOVA Insurance Partners. Her role consists of working directly with RESA® members to ensure that they have the insurance coverage that is appropriate to protect their business practices, as well as helping RESA® members obtain the risk management documents that are crucial to insulating a business.
Leah joined the villaNOVA team in 2021 under the direction of Judy Fobes and has worked to further the relationship between Pen-Ex powered by villaNOVA Insurance Partners and the Real Estate Staging Association® (RESA).
Leah’s goal is to make insurance an area of ease for RESA® members rather than a source of stress by making the process of obtaining insurance as streamlined as possible.
Leah is a graduate of Pennsylvania State University, graduating Magna Cum Laude. Additionally, Leah has a Master’s Degree in Applied Behavior Analysis with a focus in business relations from University of West Florida. Leah lives outside of Philadelphia with her family. In her free time, she enjoys attending Philadelphia Eagles football games and traveling to new places.
